I too have a very small house, and since we are an "at home" family, we have a lot of stuff that we use on a regular basis. Going vertical is a good idea, and a couple of our rooms have 10-foot ceilings. My mind seems to become very cluttered when my house is a wreck. For some reason, the past many months, we've been able to maintain a relatively clean house. It's amazing! Partly it is that my daughter now helps pick up as part of her daily chores. We pick up almost every day. Sweeping and all that is a lot easier when we don't have 8 hours of picking up to do first. It usually takes us 15-20 minutes to do it all, although sometimes longer! Good luck with that!! For us, getting out of debt was, like, one of the first baby steps toward freedom. (That and not watching TV any more.) But it's water under the bridge now. Or dollars into the funnel. And the dollar's value has decreased about 40% in that time, if I understand correctly. Interesting. Good luck with that!!
