Consistency

Posted by a conscious life on July 5th, 2008 filed in As the Day Turns, Emotions

Consistency is something that eludes me.  My blogging, my housekeeping, my reading, my learning, my emotional balance… consistency seems to be an illusion that I’m always grabbing for but can’t seem to hand onto for any period of time.

Any thoughts?

Loving the new look here girl!
I think consistency is boring and overrated!

Hi Lesa! I haven’t looked at your blog in a while, I love the new look.

As far as consistency–I’d say, go with the flow! Don’t make yourself try to be something you’re not.

Or maybe I’m just rationalizing for my own inconsistency–in blogging, housekeeping, reading, learning, emotional balance ….

Hey, if you’re ever going to be in Springfield, let us know and we can have a play date or something.

I’m with Don,as a fellow inconsistent I’d say there are benefits that come to the world from people like us, new ventures, brainstorming, big ideas, exploration. For personal improvement I’d say relax in mst areas of life, you’ve gotten this far haven’t you? But pick an area where consistency really matters to you, bills, kid time, etc.. and work on simple routines. My 2 cents. I love the new look here too.!

Hmmm– I think consistency applied in the wrong places can be very bad, but applied the right way, can be very good. I think of a good strong foundation when I think about consistency. I think about good habits and a routine that helps us (not enslaves us!) when I think about consistency. But I think it can be a hinderance when we are so consistent, we are almost automated and can’t be creative or think outside-of-the-box or change when we find we are in error.

    I think balance.
