Undercover Unschooler?

I recently stumbled across this post called Undercover Unschooler by Julee Huy @ Homeschool Daze Blog. I invite you to comment to her misunderstanding of being an unschooler and the great beauty in her sons love of learning without force. I know unschoolers get very passionate about their stance, but please be civil in your responces. My comment is below:

You didn’t become an unschooler, your son was born with that love for learning and as long as it’s not squelched by forcing him to learn things that are of no interest to him then he’ll continue to learn, grow, and surprise you with his knowledge of the world around him. You’ve seen the beauty first hand. Why not let it continue? Why ever have him sit at the table? Peace.

    Wow, that’s a tough one. I’m too tired to post there but it’s amazing to me that she thinks she is an *undercover unschooler*. Her son will show her the way, mine did!
